Third try is a charm...

Found the Ross's Goose, though not at Schoolhouse Pond. The bird had
returned to the Merkle pond behind the visitor's center. Seen at
approximately 11:30. Looked for the White Pelican without success.

Jeff Shenot and I saw the Ross's Goose at the rear of Schoolhouse Pond this
morning. It was feeding on the mudflats at the rear of the pond with the
large number of Canada Geese. It was present when I arrived this morning at
7 AM, and we watched the bird until a little after 7:30. The appearance of
the Ross's Goose at Schoolhouse Pond appears to coincide with the departure
of the goose at Merkle, which Jeff says was last seen on Sunday.
