Hello again folks,

It was pointed out to me that some of the compass points of my last post's directions are a tad off so let me straighten them out for everyone. Also, I believe the actual name of the gravel lane is ALDERS REST Lane, not Adler Lane as it was called in earlier posts. That's the name that shows up on my 'Streets and Trips' program and on Google Maps.

Anyway. Since Alders Rest runs NW-SE instead of N-S, all of the directions need to be shifted 90 degrees left. So you walk in on Alders Rest to the NW. The fields are to your left and are on the south side of the road. The row of pines that splits the two filed generally runs N-S and the kingbird was in the western-most field today.

To make it easy - Walk in on Alders Rest (it T's off of Redding Ferry, so you can only go one way). As you walk in there is a row of pines to your left. On your right is open field that we have not obtained permission to enter to my knowledge. Beyond the pines to your left are the grassy fields owned by Mr. Tom Lilly and the ones that we can enter. The field closest to Redding Ferry road is about the size of a football field. On the right side of this field is another line of trees that runs perpendicular to Alders Rest lane and the line of pines that runs along side of it. To the right of this line of trees is the larger grassy field. As you walk along the road you'll see what looks to be a deer trail just beyond the line of trees that separate the two grassy fields. Walk in here and once you come out into the large grassy field, the kingbird was perching on the pines to your right at or below eye level.

I hope this clears things up as I wouldn't want anyone to wonder onto private property due to the bad directions that I gave earlier. As long as your know your left from your right (and I know a person or two that has a little trouble with that) you should be ok with the directions amended above.
