Bonnie left out the apparent hybrid among the Canadas. It was little smaller,
but had a distinct white head, with some black streaking toward the base. It
might have been taken for a blue phase, but the back was brown, same color as
the Canadas. It had a short, stubby bill, all dark. One participant suggested
a parent may have been a Ross' Goose, given the small bill, and steep forehead,
if I remember that correctly. It took off for brunch with the rest of the
Canadas.
I got bad, digiscope shots. The camera was not cooperating today.
