 Hi all --

I think the major ssues would be:

1) Access improved, and this brings up -- how is this to be handled (and controlled, re. discussion on dirt bikes)? What about bicycles (which could be good for birding, but also could be abused)? Would access be through state park docks or another set-up?

2) I like the idea of benches but what about bulding a few European-style hides (blinds) which allow close observation of the birds without distrubing them -- in Europe, Australia and also, So. Africa they are at the major birding sites. The closest we have in the area to this type of construction are the blinds at Terrapin Park, Queen Anne's Cty., but the ones at Brit sites like Minsmere and Cley are nicer. Even little nature reserves have good hides. Btw, these things are not cheap to build but many are donated by clubs and even individuals in memory of someone. These also provide shade and can be made so that there is a good cross-current of air with open windows.

We could also use an observation tower.

3) Composing toilets would be nice.

That's my input, I may think of things later...

Thanks for the opportunity to comment,
