A friend who's a professional writer -- and an amateur birder -- has a
question: "My [story idea] about the ivory-billed woodpecker has been
accepted and I will be writing the script shortly. Because in the time
between having this idea (several years ago) and writing the outline,
the ivory-billed has been sighted in two states, I am placing this adventure
in Louisiana. But I don't think the ivory-billed hangs out in
the bayou, do you? If you know another term for their habitat, tell me."
Swamp? Submerged forest? Those don't sound very romantic. Anyone who has a
better idea, please contact me offline. Thanks!
