I would like to put some pictures of the Clay-colored Sparrow on the
Harford Bird Club web site. If anyone would like to contribute their
photos, you will get credit for them on the web site.
Although I only live about 4 miles from where the sparrow is being seen,
yesterday was the first time I have looked for it as part of the Harford
Mid-winter Count. Luckily, a few other people and I found it. I think the
sparrow is misnamed. Instead of Clay-colored Sparrow, it should be
Gray-collared Sparrow.

The eagle looked down on the river below
And he wrapped his wings round him and he fell like a stone
And the big salmon fought but the talons held true
And he shuddered as the world turned from silver to blue
