Don and all,

Ring-necked Pheasant haven't been seen or heard
there for years. We have had birdwalk there few times
about 10 years ago and a pair or more seen in every
trips, we even had Short-eared Owl there once at broad
daylight. Right now this park is taken over by a bunch
of kids with dirt bikes tearing up paths and grassland
habitat. If anyone plan to go there, you should have
someone with you and it's not safe being alone. I
almost ran over by a wild kid in that dirt bike about
6 or 7 years ago.

Some day we really want to bring this park back to
life and re-create the grassland habitat back and hope
for the pheasant to returns.
Right now there has been some sightings at
Southwest Area Park.

     Kevin
