This may not be noteworthy, but I cannot recall seeing so many Common
Goldeneyes. Today, I believe there were over 50. A fair amount of
Buffleheads, and a male Common Merganser. The light today was very good.
It allowed one to see the purple in the Bufflehead's head. I look through a
camera lens at about 27 power, and I did not count. But I think that all of
them are beautifull. If you have a good spotting scope, I think you will
get some very good looks. I am interested in the Columbia lakes. When they
freeze over, if someone would let me know, I would be most appreciative.
Please let me know off line. Thanks!
