Hello everyone,
I headed down to the Eastern Shore today to see if I could find anything
that may have shown up with the cold. The first stop was at Ocean City
Inlet, among the more common species, I had one second winter ICELAND GULL
mixed in with a few Ring-billed, Herring and Great Black-backed Gulls on the
rocks below the observation deck/boardwalk area. Next stop was 3rd Street
Flats with nothing unusual. Hooper's Resturant had a number of Dunlin, and
a nice group of Gadwall, but again nothing too unusual. After a stop at
West OC Ponds (still nothing crazy), I headed to the Salisbury landfill
where I had 7 LESSER-BLACK BACKED GULLS, 2 adult, 2 second winter, and 3
first winter birds as well as a first winter GLAUCOUS GULL in with all of
the other common gulls. All in all a great day!

Good Birding!
