Hi all a quick report that a late afternoon vist to the Rt 309 Pond
that is about 1 mile from Rt 213 and near Centreville was about 90 to 95
percent ice covered . But did have a open water area in the center kept
open by the waterfowl using it . There was an interesting mix of
waterfowl there no geese around except the Snow Geese presant in the
area most of the winter . They kept circling around checking out the pond
and dissappear but reappear after a while . This was repeated several times
while I was there . Not enough open water I guess . Birds Seen

Tundra Swan 25
Mute Swan 1
