This weekend (Friday-Monday) is the 2007 Great Backyard Bird Count.  Last year, Maryland birders submitted 1363 checklists and reported a record 155 species.  Can you break the species record again this year?  And how long is it going to take for Maryland birders to break the 2000 record of 2683 checklists submitted during the count?  It would be great to see both the species count and checklist number records shattered this year.

So head out to your favorite winter birding spot, just count the birds in your yard (or better yet, do both!), and submit your bird sightings from each location each day to <http://www.birdsource.org/gbbc>.
