Hello all. I had two things jump out at me today at a quick stop at the
North East Town Park today. First was the multiple Lesser Canada geese there
today. Like 4 of them. It looks wierd having so many small Canada's. Second
was the only open water hole, I had a large Grebe diving up and down. I
Id'ed the bird as a Red-necked Grebe. It was slightly in the sun light, so
when I drove around to the Marina on the other side of the harbor to
photograph it, all of the birds flew up just before I arrived. Divers,
Puddle ducks, Geese and Gulls, all air born. I could not re-locate the bird.
Nothing came back down on the water. A Bald Eagle was the Culprit.

I truly believe there was a Red-necked Grebe there.

If anyone goes by there tomorrow, Please keep your eyes open.

Also, I still need help with the Mid-winter bird count with Cecil County.
Please let me know if you want an area for tomorrow. Come on up and build
your Cecil list.
