Greetings,

I sepnt the day in OC and had a chance to score some wonderful birds. As
well, I had even better secod hand reports of inlet arivals for today. At dawn
the inlet was rather quiet with nothing more then the expected birds around
(Red-breasted Merg, both Loons, Long-tailed, Surf and Black Scoter, and
Purple Sandpiper). Andy Markel (sp?) from PA reported an Iceland Gull at the
Inlet Bait Store and we both had Lesser Black-backeds on Skimmer's and the
resident Peregrin. The Eurasian Wigeon was a no-show at Eagle's Roost BUT,
according to a gentleman from DC a Razorbill and a male Harlequin presented
at the inlet ca. 11AM.

Later in the day I scanned the inlet to find a flock of Eider about 50 yards off
the tip of the south jetty. This raft included 6 hen Eider sp., 7 drake Common
Eider and 1 drake KING EIDER!

All in all a great day (weekend) with 90+ species scene between MD and DE in
less then 30 hours, including the Northern Shrike at Prime Hook (DE) -pics off
line with resquests.

Still here tomorrow AM -will report if anything turns up!

Good Birding,
