I drove along the Potomac River in Washington county, yesterday, on my way
to check out the Shenandoah River. Saw the following species as we drove
along:

 Canada Goose
 Gadwall
 Mallard
 Northern Pintail
 Ring-necked Duck
 Common Merganser

The Ring-neckeds and Pintails were new for me along this part of the river.
There were also a few Ring-billed Gulls.
