Now that the birds are so clearly on the move, the ponds of Pickering
Creek are providing quite a show. Today there was great viewing of:
    Canada Geese (of course)
Wood Duck, Green-winged Teal, Black Duck, Mallard (always), Northern
Pintail, Northern Shoveler, Gadwall, Ring-necked Duck, Lesser Scaup, and
Bufflehead.
Several American Coot were also present. These have been around for
most of the winter.

Lots of Song Sparrows in the grass beside the ponds, a few Tree Swallows
were around in the morning, and a couple of young Bald Eagles paraded
overhead this afternoon.
