Hello,

A leucistic junco briefly visited my yard in Damascus this afternoon, 
foraging along the wooded edges. I wasn't able to get a photo... the 
junco had an almost entirely white head with a little gray splotching 
toward the crown and the back of the head. Otherwise the plumage was 
normal, although the gray tones appeared to be lighter than those of 
other juncos foraging nearby. He/she chose not to join the birds at my 
feeders, though, and disappeared into the woods.

Other yard birds taking advantage of the seed, the suet, and the 
melting snow:

Fox Sparrow (2 – one seen, and another heard singing)
Field Sparrow (1 – a first for my yard!)
Song Sparrow (15+ – the most I've ever seen at once in my yard)
Dark-eyed Junco (20+)
White-throated Sparrow (several)
Brown-headed Cowbird (22+)
Red-winged Blackbird (several)
Northern Flicker (1)
Downy Woodpecker (1)
White-breasted Nuthatch (1)
Carolina Wren (1)
Carolina Chickadee (several)
Tufted Titmouse (1 – heard only)
American Goldfinch (several)
Northern Cardinal (several)
Northern Mockingbird (1 – chasing everyone else away from the suet)
American Robin (15+)
Red-shouldered Hawk (1)
