I've had a couple of odd juncos, too, including one with a half-white tail,
and one with white wing bars. Have you ever noticed that up close their backs
appear to be striped in gray and darker gray?

I haven't had a Fox Sparrow in years but today we had two of them.
I forgot how pretty they are!
