Walked Lake Roland today, and found 9 American pipits on the mud flats. First
time I've ever seen them there, in 13 years of birding Lake Roland.
Phoebes were everywhere, first of the year for me. Counted at least 5
separate birds, could have been more. Fox sparrows were everywhere too.
Also of note, 8 Green-winged teal, first osprey of the year, lots of GC Kinglets,
hardly any woodpeckers, and a grand total of 28 species. |
