This morning at the Little Patuxent Oxbow Lake Nature Preserve around 7:30
a.m.
I first heard Trumpeter Swan #962. He was in the northeastern cove along
with about 13 Green-winged Teal and several mallards. A few of his Canada
Geese guards were near him. I couldn't see anything causing him distress (but
maybe it was Tundras passing over too far away for me to hear). He swam
around for a bit and then took flight. He flew around the lake once, twice, and
then landed in the middle to continue eating.
