Fourteen birders searched portions of the grounds of Jean DuPont Shehan

total of 60 bird species. Trip leader was Les Roslund.
    Highlights:

        Sharp-shinned Hawk
        Red-tailed Hawk
        Wild Turkey (over 30)
Killdeer (scouting some gravel roads as possible nest sites)

Following the birding, a delicious breakfast was hosted by Linda and

Sparrows.

In a preview visit on Thursday, March 22, several other species had been
present, including: Ducks (Northern Pintail, Northern Shoveler, American
Wigeon, Canvasback and Ring-necked). Also Pileated Woodpecker, Hermit
Thrush, Cedar Waxwing and Myrtle Warbler.
A special highlight during the Thursday visit was that two of the Hermit
Thrushes were singing.
