I'd like to respond to a few points, at the risk to trying Norm's patience,
and henceforth will shut up.

Gail said it best, your rights are being abrogated. We can still speak out,
even in a representative democracy.

And Meyersdale site is hardly without issue. The WASHINGTON POST reported
the death of thousands of bats at Meyersdale in its January 1, 2005,
edition. A study published by Bat Conservation International documented the
deaths of seven bat species at Meyersdale in 2004. Mountaineer in West
Virginia is likewise lethal. See www.batcon.org/wind/BWEC2004Reportsummary.pdf

And wind drops off in summer, during peak demand. What's going to make up
for the drop in supply? It won't be so green!

Lastly, one the of the salient points of the Australian study cited by Mr.
McDaniel is proper placement to mitigate the danger. This is unlikely when
the only review is a toothless public hearing. I only ask for full, public
review, with proper consideration of environmental factors. Not a kangaroo
hearing.

And I can't resist stating this: Altamont is deadly to more than just
Rolling Stones fans!
