This morning the singing birds at Pickering Creek included a Common
Yellowthroat, a White-crowned Sparrow, several Field Sparrows, a
Ruby-crowned Kinglet, several Brown Thrashers and the usual Cardinals,
Chickadees, Carolina Wrens and Titmice. Lots of Barn Swallows are checking
out the rafters of the old barn where they nest, Tree Swallows are
everywhere and Swamp Sparrows are also abundant.
