Cliff Swallow at Lower Kingman Island (Washington, DC)

While searching for resident Canada Goose nests along the tidal basin of the
Anacostia River between the Lower Kingman and Heritage islands today (April
17) afternoon, a colleague pointed to a flying swallow and asked if she was
seeing a Barn Swallow. A closer look, revealed it to be a Cliff Swallow
mixed in with a foraging flock of Tree and Northern Rough-winged Swallows.
