This morning at about 7:30 am, I was driving south on Harford, just a little
north of Lake Montebello here in Baltimore, and I saw a gorgeous pair of
what I'm fairly sure were Great Egrets overhead. I've seen Great Blue Herons
overhead in that area from time to time at twilight- but never Great Egrets.
It is possible I am mistaken about the identity - they could have been Snowy
Egrets (unlikely I think) or Great Whites (virtually impossible I think),
but I'm 98% sure the bills were yellow and the legs and feet were black. It
was a stunning beginning to a day of endless meetings.
Peace,
