We had a wave of juncos in Patterson Park, Baltimore this morning. I saw about 30 of them, way more than I've seen there for a couple of weeks. Also several Chpping, Song, White-throated, and Swamp Sparrows, 7 Hermit Thrushes, 3 Brown Thrashers, a Palm Warbler, 3 Ruby-crowned kinglets, 5 Barn Swallow, 2 Tree Swallow, 1 N. Rough-winged Swallow.

This afternoon I've seen 16 D-c Cormorants, a Turkey Vulture and a kestrel flying NE along the same flight-path over the Audubon office in Baltimore. I bet there were more but couldn't justify lookin gout of the window all day!

I still have about five juncos lingering in our backyard and my feeder.
They are however all females and yearling males (occasionally singing)
that most likely are delaying their departure until the breeding season
draws closer.
