At 10:45 this morning, over the Paint Branch, just south of Paint Branch
Parkway, a low-flying kettle consisting of four Osprey and one immature Bald
Eagle made a brief appearance. I lost sight of them, but a short time
later, as I got to the bank of the stream, I found two Osprey perched, with
another calling nearby. In fairly short order, three Osprey were in flight,
with the Bald Eagle. I then walked down to just below River Road, where I
saw two Osprey, one with a fish, another annoying an immature Red-tailed
Hawk. I cannot say for certain if the Ospreys were part of the four seen
earlier, but presume so.

Otherwise, usual suspects. I did hear a Pileated Woodpecker. Three or four
Blue-gray Gnatcatchers, one Brown Thrasher, two "Myrtle" Warblers. The
White-throated Sparrows were much in evidence. In the park below River Road
two Chipping Sparrows were present. I also heard two Field Sparrows singing
between River Road and Paint Branch Parkway.
