Hi all,
I walked around Blue Mash briefly this afternoon, finding it rather quiet.
I did find a rather amazing number of DC Cormorants on the big pond, counting
at least 50 or more. Also there were a small number of Buffleheads. The
small pond had a pair of Mallards and a lone male Blue-winged Teal hanging out
with them, as well as a single Caspian Tern and a pair of Bonaparte's Gulls
floating on the water. There was a spooky quiet, skulking GREEN HERON in the
trees by the small pond, my first of the year.

Also seen were small numbers of Myrtle Warblers, Palm Warblers, BG
Gnatcatchers, Juncos, Red-tailed Hawks, a single sharpie, and lots of Tree Swallows
along with a host of regulars.

Nice afternoon to skip out early...
