Yesterday I took a little walk in Scotts Level Park near my home in Randallstown. In an hour I found thirty-seven species including 5 warblers (1 male YELLOW; 5 YELLOW-RUMPTED; 1 male AMERICAN REDSTART; 1 male PROTHONOTARY; and 1 male COMMON YELLOWTHROAT) and 4 sparrow species (Song; Chipping; LINCOLN’S; and White-throated.) The Lincoln’s Sparrow was singing near a fallen log, under a tangle of vines. This is the first time I've heard the song in the field (or the brush) – it was very exciting.
