Pickering Creek Birds of 4/30

Inspired by John Hubbell's Saturday report, I followed his footsteps at
Pickering Creek today and was not disappointed.  From 5:20 to 8:10 this
morning the species found included:
 
American Bittern (pumping away from 5:20 until I left that site at 5:50)
Sora  - heard right away, behind the pumping Bittern
Chuck-Will's-Widow
Great Horned Owl
Marsh Wren
Common Moorhen
American Coot  (seen and heard)
Pied-billed Grebe (seen and heard)
 
Blue-winged Teal
Green-winged Teal
Northern Shoveler
Black Duck
Wood Duck
Canada Goose with at least 4 tiny goslings
 
Sharp-shinned Hawk
Blue Grosbeak
Chimney Swift
Baltimore Oriole (pair)
Orchard Oriole
Eastern Kingbird (pair)
Great Crested Flycatcher
Wood Thrush
House Wren
Warbling Vireo
 
Blue-winged Warbler
Magnolia Warbler
Palm Warbler
Yellow Warbler
Yellot-throated Warbler
Ovenbird
