I think everybody is all stirred up by the tremendous FOY birds we get every
year on the last weekend in April. We will get more over the next couple
weeks but this is the weekend when we really OD on them.

Tonight I was walking around the lake and got my first visual on a Red-eye.
Also had a nice look at an Orchard O and some rumpies.

But now the big question. I had some blackbirds that didn't look
particularly grackley to me and I spotted some females in there that
reminded me of female redwings. I'm quite sure I had a group of Rusty
Blackbirds. I checked the Yellow Book and they can string it out well into
May. Seems a bit late for them, but there they were.

Sat morn at Soldier's Delight we got nice looks at Prairie Warbler, Ovenbird
and Wood Thrush. We heard a Summer Tanager but couldn't find it.

Yesterday in the Catoctins I got plenty of Redstarts, a Chestnut -Sided and
heard my first Hooded Warbler. Nice look at Ruby-crowned Kinglet and a
Baltimore O.
    Great FOY weekend.
