Hi all,
Yesterday I heard a song in a neighbor's tree that sounded much like an
Alder Flycatcher, but it was given in sets of three. Three songs with
little pause between, then a longer pause, then three songs close
together again. This continued for about 4 or 5 minutes, but I could
never see the songster.
Seems a little early for an Alder. I think the Yellow Book gives April
29 as the early date, so April 30 would be after that. I don't recall
ever hearing an Alder give its song in sets of 3.
Anyone have any ideas?
