Did some birding from home today and was rewarded with 3 new 
yard birds (Double-crested Cormorant, Yellow-rumped Warbler, 
and BLACKPOLL WARBLER), and 2 first-of-season birds (EASTERN 
WOOD-PEWEE and ORCHARD ORIOLE).  That puts our yard list at 
64 species since moving in last summer.  I'd probably be 
finding more too, if I weren't spending so much time at Rock 
Creek Park (see you there tomorrow!).

Notes:  06h45 (57F, mostly cloudy, calm)-09h45 (70F, mostly 
sunny, light breeze): DCR (3), FER (2); 09h45-18h15 (77F, 
partly cloudy, light breeze): DCR (2).  Concentrated effort 
today, rewarded with 3 yard birds (cormorant, Yellow-rumped, 
Blackpoll) and 2 first-of-season birds (pewee, Orchard 
Oriole).  Also saw 6 Eastern Gray Squirrels (including 1 
black morph), 1 with injured right forelimb.
