Folks

Yesterday I had a singing late Rusty Blackbird female in the backyard of our Waldorf, Charles Co. property.

I also had a calling Green Heron flyover the property. The Green Heron was number 75 for the yard year list. A little slow so far except for last Saturday when we had 47 species including Gwen's county Blue-winged Warbler. Those young ears.

We are still doing the Cerulean Warbler birdathon on Saturday, May 5 if anyone out there in MDOspreyland wants to sponsor the Charles County team of Gwen Brewer, Bill Hubick, and Tom Feild. They are letting me go along since I know where the birds are. We are taking any pledges - lump sum; per species, first specie of the day, etc. If you can image it, we can take money in that form. Check out the flyer on Bill Hubick's website: www.billhubick.com All donation are fully tax deductible and will go to the American Bird Conservancy to support expansion of the preserve.

Contact me off line if interested in helping protect the Cerulean Warbler on it's wintering grounds. Remember - it is never too late to donate.

Thanks

George
