With Norm's indulgence, a short note from our cruise, now crossing from
Petropavlovsk thru Bering Sea towards Attu -- yesterday an excellent day
with over 300 Mottled and two Solander's Petrels, 7 Ross's Gulls in full
pink plumage, Red-legged Kittiwake, Least, Whiskered and Crested Auklets,
and over 250 Long-tailed Jaegers in passage. On board the ship we had
Red-throated Pipit and other passerines. However all still in Russian
waters! At Petro we had close encounter with two Steller's Sea-eagles.

too birdy, hence a pause to send this email.

Now we know why Norm bans out of state reports - they make us extremely
jealous. Can she get jail time for this - with Paris Hilton as a roommate?
I'd tell her I saw all those birds on Piney Run Lake last week but
somehow I think she'd see thru it.
But I did get a nice look at an Acadian FC this AM. He did the flutter
call, too. And an Oriole was right next to me along the back of the lake.
Honest.
Kinda pales in comparison to Crested Auklets doesn't it?
