Yesterday brought in a wave of cedar waxwings.

Today we were treated to (at 12 noon so I don't think sleeping in made a
difference for the prior Baltimore poster) 2 beautiful male Scarlet tanagers
in a wild cherry tree in our front yard. I believe those 2 birds converted
a neighbor into a bird watcher. We were just sitting there talking and in
they came, about 10 feet up in the wild cherry tree. Excellent views for
about 15 minutes. She was blown away to say the least.

Additional birds:

Seen/heard:

Worm eating warbler

Black throated greens

Hooded warbler (first ever in the yard)

Catbird

Seen:

Swainson's thrush

Heard:

Black throated blue

Blackpoll

Northern parula

We may have heard a blackburnian warbler but cannot confirm-may be wishful
imagination.

Cylburn arboretum:

Scarlet tanager

Common yellowthroat

What a day!
