It was a beautiful morning for warblers along Indian Creek, east side of Lake Artemisia, south of Berwyn Road to the iron bridge, with 15 species seen or heard. Saw, one of each except where noted: CANADA, MAGNOLIA, BLACKBURNIAN, YELLOW-RUMPS (8-10), BLACKPOLL (plus a couple more heard), BLACK-THROATED BLUE (plus 3-4 heard), BLACK-THROATED GREEN (plus 2 heard), COMMON YELLOW-THROAT (plus 2 heard), BLACK AND WHITE, YELLOW (3), NORTHERN PARULA (2, plus 2 heard) and CHESTNUT-SIDED (thanks to Jack Saba, who was doing the May count). Heard only: AMERICAN REDSTART (3), NORTHERN WATERTHRUSH, OVENBIRD.

Other interesting birds: CEDAR WAXWINGS, HOUSEWREN, RED-EYED AND WARBLING VIREOS (Jack also had Yellow-throated), SCARLET TANAGER (hd), YELLOW-BILLED CUCKOO, PEEWEE (hd), WOODTHRUSH (hd), BALTIMORE and ORCHARD ORIOLES, PURPLE MARTINS, BLUEBIRDS, E. KINGBIRD.
