Anne Bishop, Patty Craig, Jim Boxwell and I had an awesome May Count in
Southern St. Mary's County on Saturday. I don't have the final tally of each
species, but we did get about 116 (I might have missed one or two in my
notes) different birds for the day . I "ticked off" 62 county birds...but I
only made about 10 of them mad.

Patty and I started at 4:30am, and got the SORA, CLAPPER and VIRGINIA RAILS.
We picked up Jim and Anne at about six, and after grabbing some coffee,
birded everything south of the Pax River NAS until 8:30pm. This is by no
means the official tally, but what I had in my notebook at the end of the day.

It helps when you sing this to Johnny Cash's "I've Been Everywhere"
Deep breath...
