Thank you, Thank you, for the confirmation that least terns are around
-- I'd seen one the evening before over Old Man's Creek where I live,
but only a glimpse of the bill and he was gone and I wasn't confident.

PS   Your grackle picture reminded me immediately of the "Mad Bluebird"
marketing phenomenon.   Find an intriguing adjective and mugs, calendars,
75$ framed & signed prints, and a whole page in the National Wildlife
catalogue are yours for the asking

You might swallow your birder's oath of accuracy & peddle it to the
Baltimore Ravens.    I doubt they'd know the difference, but they'd love the
fearsome defensive linebacker expression.   I can see the sweatshirts now,
and check imprints, and beer mugs . . .  And pick-up sized decals for the
tailgate.
