Got a brief look at a KENTUCKY warbler on the lower side of Mt. Hamilton, in the patch where Fred Fallon reported one last week. I heard it singing near where the gravel path meets the paved road going up the "mount." It perched in a small tree and then flew across to the west side of the paved road. NIce!

Other warblers seen: AMERICAN REDSTART (4, plus 6-8 heard), BLACK-THROATED BLUE (1 f, plus 4 m heard), CANADA (2), OVENBIRD (1, plus 2 heard), CHESTNUT-SIDED (2), YELLOW (1), MAGNOLIA (2m, 1f). Warblers heard only: N. PARULA (6-8), BLACKPOLL (10-12), COMMON YELLOWTHROAT (3), BLACK-THROATED GREEN (1), PINE (1). All the warbler species, except the Kentucky and Pine, were seen or heard on the azalea hillside. The pine was heard on Hickey Hill, and several warblers were repeats seen or heard around the Holly collection or the lower side of Mt. Hamilton.

Other interesting birds: GREAT-CRESTED FLYCATCHERS, RED-EYED VIREO, KESTREL (having breakfast), PEEWEES, VEERY, SWAINSON'S THRUSHES, WOODTHRUSHES, SCARLET TANAGER, LEAST FLYCATCHER, YELLOW-BILLED CUCKOOS, CEDAR WAXWINGS, BALTIMORE ORIOLE, E. KINGBIRDS, BROWN THRASHER, RUBY-THROATED HUMMINGBIRD, and INDIGO BUNTING.
