Re: long billed curlew or glossy ibis

This may be a bit pedantic but since Glossy Ibis are pretty rare in the county and a couple of White-faced Ibis showed up last year locally in Virginia, aren't we better off referring to birds like this as dark ibis sp if they're not seen well enough to be identified?   Its not like the situation on the E Shore where there can be very large numbers of Glossy Ibis and you'd expect to see them at the right time and in the right habitat.
