Hi On Saturday May 19 , 07 24 Members and guests of the
Talbot County Bird Club Visted Poplar Island .The trip was put together
by Erney Maher { Thanks Erney ] due to one leftover spot Jan Reese
who surveys the birds out there was able to come along and guide us along
. I may have missed some but by my notes we had 47 Species . Most
Numerous shorebirds being Semi Palmated Sandpiper and Least Sandpiper
. Birds seen and heard
Red Throated Loon 1
Common Loon 1
DC Cormorant Many Nesting here
Great Blue Heron several one feeding young in a nest
Snowy Egret
Turkey Vulture 1 rare out there
Canada Geese several with fledged young
Mute Swan 1
Black Duck several
Mallard many some with young
Scaup species 1 seen from bus while in mottion
Scoter species 1 dittio as above
Long tailed Duck 1 breeding plumage
Osprey many
Bald Eagle 1 young in the nest
Black Bellied Plover 1 still in winter plumage
Semipalmated Plover 4
Killdeer
AMERICAN OSTERCATCHER 1 flew from near were boat docks on
the return to
Tilghmam narrows

Willet 8 rough esimate

Sanderling 1 in smashing breeding plumage

PURPLE SANDPIPER 1 on the rock wall alone I was able
to snap some photos
