Yesterday morning, late afternoon, and early this morning, Jay Sheppard or I 
visited the Little Patuxent Oxbow Lake Nature Preserve. Here's some of what 
we saw/heard:

great blue heron

wood duck (there are a lot of pairs and single males, but we haven't seen any 
ducklings)
mallard (we haven't seen any ducklings yet)
lesser yellowlegs
solitary sandpiper
least tern
great crested flycatcher
yellow-throated vireo
red-eyed vireo
purple martin
tree swallow
rough wing swallow
bank swallow
blackpoll warbler
northern waterthrush
canada warbler
scarlet tanager
