Yesterday (05-30) Jim Peters led the last in the spring series of evening
bird walks at Fort McHenry. We found 33 species between 6 and 8 p.m. The
highlights of the walk included a male Canada Warbler, the Western Kingbird,
a Swainson¹s Thrush, a Least Tern, and finding an Orchard Oriole nest (Go
Christine!)
The Western Kingbird came to the wetland area to meet us and perched on the
Purple Martin gourd rack. We decided to take a pass on walking out to find
him he must have overheard that conversation.
