My wife and I went chasing recent reports in Washington County this
afternoon. We attempted twice to find the Eurasian Collared Dove
Northwest of Pectonville Road without success (once coming from
Frostburg and once going back home). This is the bird that was
second-hand reported by David Yeany. The area has a lot of evergreen
trees and very few places to pull off of the road but it could be worth
taking a pass if folks are out that way. I'll probably try again at
some point.

The Dicksissel(s) were found where Elliot Kirschbaum had reported them
on 5/28. I'd amend the directions to say that (on my map) the road is
Sharpsburg Pike (not Hagerstown Pike; it is Route 65 in any event) and
the immediate crossroad to look for is Mondell Road which crosses Route
65 and joins Dunker Church Road. You have to make a left turn and go
about 30-50 feet and then turn right on Mansfield Avenue.

I heard at least one singing almost immediately after turning onto
Mansfield Road. A Vesper Sparrow sang a little bit further out
Mansfield Road. I also spotted 2 Purple Martins in a field along "the
route". Thanks to Elliott for the tip. We got one new Washington
County bird !
