I did a quick spin around Hains Pt and along the Anacostia River Park this
(Sunday, 6/3) afternoon on the hopes that Tropical Depression Barry would
turn something up in DC (we DC birders are nothing if not optimists).
Overall it was quite quiet, with the only bird of note being a 2nd summer
Laughing Gull on a mudflat on the Anacostia. A new bird for June on my
DCxMonth list, and only one more to go for a close-out (Feb). Hope springs
eternal.
Good birding,
