I am posting some sightings from this morning's DC Audubon field trip to
Little Bennett Regional Park.

We had several Prairie Warblers along the Kingsley and Purdum Trails,
including a great look at a male as it foraged close to the ground a
little downhill from the Purdum Trail campground. Also along the
Kingsley Trail, we had Eastern Bluebird, White-eyed Vireo, Yellow
Warbler, Black-and-white Warbler, Louisiana Waterthrush, Scarlet
Tanager, and Baltimore Oriole. A Northern Parula was singing near the
schoolhouse. Near the Purdum Trail campground, we also had Cedar
Waxwing, Pine Warbler, Ovenbird, and Field Sparrow.

Later we stopped at the parking area at the junction of Prescott and
Hyattstown Mill Roads to walk the closed section of Hyattstown Mill
Road. At the spot where the road crosses Little Bennett Creek, we had
prolonged looks at a singing Louisiana Waterthrush and a Yellow-throated
Vireo. The local KENTUCKY WARBLER was highly cooperative today. We saw
it once near the junction of the road with the Pine Grove Trail and
again where the road crosses the creek. In the same stretch of road
where we had the Kentucky Warbler sightings, we had a brief look at a
male SUMMER TANAGER as it flew across the road.
