The Yellow-crowned Night-heron returned to Lake Elkhorn at 7:00 this
evening. It was feeding at the east end of the lake, right next to the
bridge. It seemed not to be disturbed by the numerous people walking,
running, or biking across the bridge. It looked a bit bemused when a few
people stopped to look at it, but then went back to hunting.
