Looks like half of Maryland went Dickcisseling today! :)

I also went to check out the Antietam Dickcissel- success! I was even able
to upgrade my old pixelized photo I shot last year. He put on a fine show!

There were plenty of Grasshopper, Field and a couple of Vesper Sparrows
along the tour trail. All were VERY active- what a great place to bird.

I then trekked on over to Lily Pons to try to catch a glimpse of the King
Rail- no luck. Lots of Green Herons, a Wood Duck family, Song and Field
Sparrows, and Goldfinches out the yin-yang (as my sister would say).

I got an emergency call from work that blew my shot at trying for the Alder
and the other Dickcissel. It was retracted as I got halfway home- so the
world is safe...but I missed my dang birds.

Anyhoo- on my flickr photo site (below) there is a map feature. I have
placed a marker on both the Dickcissel and Vesper Sparrow photos so you can
see exactly where I took them. Feel free to correct any mistakes.

Thanks all for posting the locations of these birds, I had a great day!
