I was out at Jug Bay early in the morning, surveying for marsh birds. I found
one Least Bittern calling from the AA side (Jug Bay Wetland Sanctuary).
There were many Marsh Wrens, and many are still busy with nesting activity.
I saw a group of 20 terns, all were Forster's and most were HY birds. I have
been looking but have yet to see a Least Tern here. There was one Ring-
billed Gull, it was loafing around the area. The Summer Tanager at the spot
mentioned was first heard singing there at 5:15 am and was still singing at
8:30! I found no rails (no surprise), and its too soon for shorebirds.
