Hi Everyone,

Went on a girls retreat this weekend to Ocean City . Went birding on 74th
st. on the bay side Saturday morning . This was a marshy area with
mudflats and a nice variety of birds . There was a flock of about 50 Canada
geese (one had white eyebrows ) and 50 Mallards to start off. Had a Tri-
colored heron , Common tern , and Royal tern flying around all morning . The
Oystercatcher was not hard to find because he was very loud as he moved
around
c . A 3 Pelican flyover and Purple Martins hanging on the telepone wires with
the Barn swallows. Sunday morning finally found the West Ocean City Pond
thats so talked about and i seen why . I thought i might have made a wrong
turn and was at the Florida Everglades . Lots of Herons and Egrets , Ibises and
of course the Sandpipers that were to far to identify again without having a
scope . Also a giant Snapping turtle . Seen 2 flocks of Turkeys . One at a cow
farm on rt. 50 just outside Ocean City and the other on the left side around
mile marker 84. Stopped at Terrapin park by the Bay Bridge in Stevensonville .
Not much to report there.
